So far I have tried a few out there that provides free apps for the Kindle Fire or “Android”. It’s pretty much coming down to if you need an alternative. If you do then the list below are your best bet, for now, although it won’t be a direct replacement of Android Market, it’s still good alternative. I still prefer Android Market over Amazon App Store since they have more apps that works on Gingerbread 2.3.4 over Amazon App Store. You can’t install Android Market on the Kindle Fire. Amazon wants you to download from their own app store. Unless if you want to root your Kindle Fire, then that’s a different story. Your Kindle Fire becomes buggy if you root it, and most likely not covered by Amazon warranty if anything goes wrong with your Kindle Fire. So how do you download apps to your Kindle Fire? My personal reading experience review for Kindle Fire, after a few days of using it personally, it’s a different experience compared to the iPad. However, it is not fair to compare Kindle Fire with an iPad since both are different in size. As for functionality, and practicality, that can be compare to an extent degree.

I have been playing with the Kindle Fire for a few days. There are some perks when you travel with your Kindle. One of them is that it’s Wi-Fi only device, and so it depends on where you are going. If you are traveling through Europe, there are a lot of places that you can connect your Kindle Fire to their Wi-Fi in places such as restaurants and cafes. Even 3rd World Country has free Wi-Fi, if you speak their Universal Language. Just say “Wi-Fi Password” and shrug your shoulder like you don’t know. If you have a hard time understanding the person because of their heavy English accent, just ask them to spell it out on a paper or napkin.
